WELCOME TO SIDEBAR
MADE FOR PEOPLE WHO LOVE FOOD BY PEOPLE WHO LOVE FOOD.
We believe that you shouldn’t have to suffer through another dry, tasteless bar just because you don’t have the time for a proper meal. Our bars are made with high quality, wholesome, recognizable ingredients that will provide the energy needed to propel you through your day. We want you to "eat well and be good" - good at your job, good in your activities and good for others.
FROM MAINE, WITH LOVE...
After many years in New York City working in Visual Merchandising, Alysia Zoidis, Maine native, lover of food, and founder of SIDEBAR, returned to her home state to open a small bakery. In 2011 she opened East End Cupcakes in Portland, Maine. During this time she was inspired by her step-father who was a busy lawyer, Spin enthusiast, and persnickety eater, to create a bar that was filling, convenient, but more importantly, delicious. She developed what was then known as The Breakfast Bar, an oat and peanut butter based bar with dried fruit and nuts. The bars quickly grew in popularity, and in 2018 Alysia closed her bakery to focus on the development and growth of the granola bar business. In 2019 The Breakfast Bar got a makeover and became SIDEBAR (a nod to the bar's inspiration) and this passion project officially became a brand.
For SIDEBAR and it's founder food is how we take care of others.“Eat Well, Be Good” is more than just a slogan. Our ambitions go beyond bringing good food experiences to the masses, we aim to have a lasting impact on our communities and be part of the greater good. SIDEBAR's goal is to honor our inspiration by partnering with a non-profit that is focused on ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment to vulnerable communities in the US.
We are always looking for new and exciting opportunities. Let's connect!
